Hell
"When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion" - Abraham Lincoln.
The World's First 'Ayo Technology' Cover...
From the video's description, "26-year old Belgian singer-songwriter Milow plays an acoustic version of 'Ayo Technology' by 50 Cent (feat. Justin Timberlake) for Belgian radio station Studio Brussel". It actually works out well lol.

"T is for tough. T is for tender. T is also for being on time."
These two really are a dynamic duo - way too funny together.
The best part of that video is when Conan asks Mr. T, "Mr. T, we know that T is for Tough, T is for Tender and T is also for being on Time. Is there anything else T stands for?" and Mr. T says "uhh, sometime the T stand for stuff that don't even rhyme with T." And Conan goes "like what?", and Mr. T says "Like Nice". lmao !
But by far, my favorite Mr. T/Conan moment ever was when Mr. T came out to present Conan with a gift during Conan's 10th Anniversary special. Mr. T comes out with a huge gold chain with a large gold "7" attached. Conan says "Mr. T., I really appreciate the gesture... but we've been on the air for 10 years" and Mr. T. yells back "ya but you only been funny for 7 fool !" lmao !!! (if i ever find that clip, i'll post it).

The Flashing Lights Controversy

Alright kids, let's put this one to rest.
The highly anticipated "Flashing Lights" video, which featured arson and manslaughter (literally), debuted last week to confusion and speculation. The video was much shorter than the song it purported to represent, ran in slow motion, and ended abruptly when a porn star penetrated a rapper (which I guess is a welcome turn of events lol).
So naturally, viewers and critics speculated about what happens next and when the rapper would unveil the second installment. As it turns out, nothing actually happened next and parts 2 or 3 were not coming anytime soon. This was the video in its entirety. So the opinions started to flood in...
The Smoking Section said Colin Munroe's interpretation of Flashing Lights (which i personally like because it was filmed in Dundas Square) was better than Kanye's.
The LA Times Blogger said the video gave the song "a torturous undercurrent.... and the muted, retro colors of the clip suit the laid-back groove of the loss-of-innocence song just fine, even if seeing the superstar get pummeled with a shovel is a bit jarring".
And the porn chick who carried out that shovel pummeling said the video is "whatever you want it to be" (well actually, she said "I just think it's great to have a cliffhanger. It's great when the mother goose doesn't have to chew the food up for you and then feed it to you. Use your mother----ing mind. It's abstract.")
So there you go, the video is an inferior abstract interpretation of a laid back groove. If you're not buying that description, then use your mother----ing mind and make up your own.
Dodger over and out.

GIVE UP COFFEE. DRINK TEA. BE LIKE DODGER.
Ok so it may not last forever, but its worth a shot (read below).....
Soak Up the Health Benefits - Tea is full of powerful antioxidants that improve concentration, gently boost energy, and make people happier. The free radical-inhibiting property of tea is more potent than that of vitamin E, and tea is a proven preventive and treatment for atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). The polyphenols in tea, especially the catechins, are powerful antioxidants that help ward off diabetes and cancer.
Cut the Morning Coffee - For many people, the first thing they reach for in the morning is coffee. Although it may initially give you a jolt, coffee actually depletes your vital essence, "borrowing" energy that you didn't have in the first place. Caffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant. It causes you to experience stress, anxiety, a racing mind, and even insomnia, working against your attempts to relax the body and calm the mind. A healthier alternative to coffee is herbal tea. On average, a cup of black tea contains about one third of the caffeine you would get from the same cup of coffee. Green tea contains about one sixth of that amount."

Once Upon a Time in the West
I was talking to my dad a couple of days ago and he told me he just finished watching Rio Bravo (probably for the hundredth time lol) and he had this big smile on his face that he got to watch it yet again. So here's a video mixing scenes from another classic western with the music of Arcade Fire... and of course its dedicated to my dad, the ultimate western fan :-)

Apparently, Eminem almost had Hayden Christensen's role in 'Jumper'. Damn, that would've been really interesting. Em needs to stop resting on his laurels and do something creative again.

Hey Mama
The grammy for album of the year once again turned into a lifetime achievement award. Herbie Hancock is an accomplished musician but they gave him the award for a collection of compositions based on someone else's original work. Unacceptable.

It's all in the game...
Omar may be the best character on television. If you watch The Wire, you probably know why...
"Omar was orphaned at a young age, and raised by his grandmother Josephine, who is largely responsible for his strict moral code. He attended Edmondson High School in West Baltimore, a few years behind Bunk Moreland. For more than ten years, Omar has made his living holding up drug dealers, and staying alive "one day at a time". He is legendary around Baltimore for his characteristic shotgun, trench coat, facial scar, and whistling the "The Farmer in the Dell". He repeatedly demonstrates exceptional skill as both a stick-up man and shooter, further contributing to his feared status as an efficient professional. Once a month, he accompanies his elderly grandmother to church. He also has a brother, "No Heart" Anthony, who is currently incarcerated for a jewelry store robbery in the early '90s.
